About Us
OUR STORY
The Vital Village Network Data Workgroup came together to empower residents of Roxbury, MA to find easily accessible, free or low-cost, high-quality food resource in their neighborhoods by creating a data dashboard tool and app for families to locate and access quality local food resources.
TEAM
The Abundance app is developed and maintained by a team at Boston Medical Center Vital Village Network. Members of the workgroup over time has included: Futu Chen, Suzeth Dunn-Dyer, Risa Brundy, Rosalyn Johnson, Sunday Taylor, Lucas Sensius, Soojin Conover, Yusuf Ali, and Renee Boynton-Jarrett. App Development advisors included: Suzeth Dunn-Dyer, Patrick Dyer, and Joel Ramos. App Developers included Abdulsamad Aliyu and Ivy Chenyao, and SubcoDevs, Inc.
PARTNERS
Partners include the Boston Public Health Commission, the Boston Mayor’s Office of Food Access, the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Madison Park Development Corporation and Project Bread. Generous funding provided by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
